Lead MLM Opportunity Prospects Are A Waste Of Money!
Many network marketers are exposed to the idea that buying mlm leads from lead companies is the most effective way to build their network marketing business. When I first got started in network marketing in 2004, I was told by my upline to make a list of friends and family to expose my opportunity to. I did make the attempt to do so , however I never recruited anyone. I was not surprised since my family was very skeptical when it came to making money in a home business. This is very true for most networkers who do the same. The next suggestion that my upline gave me was to invite people to an hotel meeting and expose them to my primary business. I did this as well and the result was three people I recruited for a distributor locally. Building my business this way was ok, but I never really cared for the leg work involved.
The next Idea that my upline suggest I do was to buy lead mlm opportunity prospects and use my phone to make cold calls to them. I thought this was the ticket to success. I had sales experience and thought is, would be easy to get people started from the cold market cold calling these generic mlm leads from my home. However my first six months I failed big time. However I did get really good once I learned the skills necessary to make it work. I went onto personally recruit 155 people into my business. However only there people duplicated my efforts for three to six months and then quit. This was a wake up call for me. I stopped buying lead mlm opportunity prospects and put my business on hold while I researched what other successful network marketers were doing to build their business.
Hotel meetings, the warm market and buying lead mlm opportunity prospects was a big waste of time and money for me. However, I took the time to meet some successful networkers and studied Internet marketing, network marketing, marketing and Internet network marketing. I did this for up to a year and I learned some amazing, marketing strategies that exploded my business worldwide. The key factor that brought me the success I have today was learning how to market my business. If I never took a leadership role in my network marketing business and applied what I learned from some very success leaders combined with the marketing education that I taught myself, I would still be chasing success.
