Multi-Level Marketing – Finding Real Success

Quite frequently, it’s multi-level marketing (MLM) that attracts people online to the idea of making money. The most basic concept is pretty simplistic. First, you get on board with a company as an affiliate, and then when you make sales you get some percentage of the sale as a commission. An extra part of that arrangement is you have to recruit other affiliates, and then you receive an extra commission on their sales.

You know, very many newer marketers think they can make tons of money with MLM’s, and they think it can be done with little to no work.

Hey… it makes sense, just get your recruits to make a lot of sales, and you can sit back and collect a lot of money. Actually, that won’t work, and it does take continued effort and work plus some marketing strategies and plans. What follows now are some methods that have been used by others to achieve success with MLM.

First thing to always do: With every lead you get always follow-up after first contact. Some people will express the feeling to think about it, then naturally you’ll just give them some time to decide. A generally accepted time frame is a few days, or so, and then you can contact them. It’s not uncommon to actually complete a sale after you’ve taken the time to follow-up and ask if there are any questions.

A lot of people will just think the prospect will contact them if they have a question, or to give an answer. But remember, with multi-level marketing you always have to asssume control. To make the sale – follow up! Don’t expect people to order mass quantities of product from you because you mail or give out a few free samples. Free samples are great for endearing you to potential clients but they do not always guarantee a sale. Choose your freebie recipients wisely. Choose the people you think are really pondering your products. And avoid giving it out too soon in the process, you’ll just lose it. If you offer it to someone who is hovering over a “yes” but afraid to commit to that “yes” the freebie could help you land the sale. Also, don’t be too generous and give them all out too soon.

Don’t try to bully people into being a part of your down line. If anyone at all ever expresses the desire to leave your team, then be polite and say goodbye. Trying to force or pressure people into staying always backfires and turns into a mess. Also, you can harm your own business because if you develop a bad reputation, then obviously people won’t want to work with you. You could sustain severe damage to your business. It’s easy, just let people make up their minds and then respect their decisions. People will respect you much more if you do this. {You can make serious money with MLM if your approach and attitudes are correct. Of course there are many who are misinformed and think it’s just a scheme to make money fast. And you know, there are instances when it does seem that’s the case. For the most part, though, MLM is a legitimate business opportunity.

It’s totally possible to be successful if you treat it like a genuine and real business and work hard to succeed.

Remember this: MLM’s and pyramid schemes are two different things.

They do, however, share some common aspects between them. MLM business models are 100% legal and legitimate. Perhaps a majority of people join MLM’s because they mistakenly believe they can create an income based on NO work. Here’s the real secret to making money with MLM’s: Hard Work. Success will give you in the measure you contribute to it.
