Leads, leads, leads. They are everywhere. “High Quality Leads”, “Hot Leads” Yada yada yada…Is it possible to find reputable leads with all of the hype on the net? Yes…but you must be careful. Start by looking for the the following three qualities.
No Bad Leads
Every reputable lead source will have some sort of no bad lead statement. If they are not willing to stand behind what they offer, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
Never Oversold
Do you want to be calling your “hot lead” and have them tell you that you are the fifth person this week that called them in regards to that one form they filled out? This will do nothing more for you than raise your blood pressure. Look for leads that are as “exclusive” as you can find. I would recommend ones that are sold at most two times.
No Manipulation
If you have to do anything other than purchase the lead, this should be a “red flag” for you. Stay away if there are any incentives attached to the leads.

Another aspect to investigate is what kind of information are you getting with your lead? Some pertinent information you want to look for is name, address, email address, phone #, best time to call, reason for desiring a home business, money to invest, time to invest etc… You need to know how serious your lead is and whether or not they are worth your time and effort.
Where To Start
Before you run out and purchase some leads, make sure you invest in yourself first. If you do not have the communication skills necessary to have the prospect get past these “roadblocks” which they have put in front of themselves…”I have no time”, “I’m not a sales person”, “It’s a pyramid…” blah, blah, blah…you will be burning your hard earned money. We don’t come out of the womb a “Sales person”. It a set of communication skills that some people learn early on in life and some never learn at all. Invest in a course and learn how to communicate properly. I suggest “Professional Inviter” by Tim Sales. This would be a fantastic foundation for prospecting with leads.

There are many lead types offered and many to choose from You have local opt-ins, local real time, national real time, telephone interview leads… the list is really quite long
Make sure they fit you needs and your budget.
How Are The Leads Generated?
If a company takes the time to list where a lead comes from this is a good thing. Lead producing websites, banner ads, email campaigns, article submission, blogs. There are many sources. Quantity doesn’t necessarily equate with quality but I feel a variety of methods is a positive trait.
