Network Marketing Information – What Information Do You Need?
Network Marketing Information – What Information Do You Need?
Never has there been an industry, offering so much promise to the “regular person,” more beset with problems. The network marketing information industry is flooded with too many schemes that just don’t work. Too much information that confuses the “regular person” just involved in the industry, too many companies that offer their “opportunity” before their product, and too many people who are fed to the lions before they’re even given a chance to succeed.
Things obviously need to change, but industry-wide change is slow coming. Even in the face of 97% failure rates companies refuse to encourage success, or give tactics that actually work. Even more disturbing, even small changes are resisted by those networkers and companies that benefit from the lack of quality information being given to their representatives and downlines.
Why you ask?
Simple, because they stand to benefit too much from feeding their downlines and reps false information. Why else would company-recommended lead companies charge outrageous amounts of money to sell new reps network marketing prospects who are desperate for money and looking for “get rich quick” schemes?
When I first started in network marketing I was paying my company upwards of $15 a lead for terrible prospects with no intention of spending money to start a home business. This lead buying process was recommended directly from my company. When I began questioning my upline about it they basically disowned me, leaving me to flounder and fail on my own. What was going on?
Wouldn’t you think it would be much better to teach that new rep to generate his or her own leads that would result in better quality prospects, better closing rates, and people ready to start a home business who are “branded” to that representative?
I would.
But you need people who actually know the “secrets” and also a desire to “teach” them. This opens up a whole new bag of worms. High level thought seems to be missing from most company’s uplines. I guess in their opinion “thought” isn’t duplicable or teachable. . .
Even on the product side of the industry things are a mess. Why do you think some network marketing companies ordering systems are so confusing? Why don’t company websites offer their representatives no-overwrite cookies when a prospect becomes a lead on that rep’s company website?
It’s because the company benefits when they don’t have to pay a commission to their reps, while the reps have paid for and done the advertising. Left to the few unethical MLMers who hide their networking secrets like Golem and his “precious” ring, it seems no new representative would truly succeed.
