MLM Business – How to Market and How Not to Market

MLM Business – How to Market and How Not to Market

When you market your mlm business, whenever you can, use Attraction Marketing. Attracting people to you versus trying to “Reel them in”.

Here’s a “getting reeled in” story for you:

I remember one day a few months ago, I was sitting at my desk and the phone rang.

I shouldn’t have answered it.

But unfortunately I did. The next 5 minutes were really bad.

Here’s what happened next…

A fast-talking man said we’d talked on the phone a while back. A lie. I’m not that out of it that I would have forgotten his warp speed voice.

Then the hype started.

He told me how I could make a bazillion dollars in no time flat if I joined him in his company.

Boy! I couldn’t even get a word in edge wise. He just kept talking and talking and talking. Then lo and behold. His partner in crime who was also on the line started doing his fast talking. Nothing like ganging up on someone.

I don’t know how they got my name. I had not requested any information about a home business opportunity. I was and am happy with what I’m doing.

I could feel myself getting more and more tense.

It was all getting to be an absolute blur.

They wouldn’t take no for an answer.

I finally had to just hang up!

So you ask, how do you attract people to you and your products and your opportunity?

Here are some examples:

1. Give away samples of your products. People love to get freebies. If you’re familiar with the law of reciprocity, you know that when you give someone something, they want to reciprocate and give you something back. In this case, they’re more likely to purchase your product. Plus it’s such a good feeling to give to others.

2. Give away a complimentary report or ebook, such as “5 Critical Things You Need to Know Before You Begin Your Home Business” or “9 Health Tips” (not the greatest title, but you get the idea.

3. Give away a free web site people can start using immediately.

4. Give a free coaching session and provide valuable actionable information. Not a sales pitch. That’s what happened to me several years ago when I responded to an offer for one free coaching session — I got pitched on their “wonderful” program. They wanted me to spend $5,000. It’s hard to believe the nerve of some people isn’t it?

But if you will give people value as I’ve described in the 4 ways above, they will work–

I’ve personally done all of these things and they positively work. .

Use your imagination and see what else you can come up with to attract people to your MLM business.
