But, you are probably spending more on advertising or MLM Leads than you are making, right?

How long can you keep this up? Most MLMers eventually spend themselves out of business. Perhaps you have already run out of money and are getting ready to quit the business. Stop! There is a better way.

It is called a funded proposal. With a funded proposal approach, your leads will be free! Unlimited free leads. Some people have received thousands of leads per month and made thousands of dollars too, using a funded proposal.

OK, I won’t keep you in agony any more. Here is the secret of the funded proposal.

You don’t advertise your business opportunity. You advertise a tool that every network marketer, MLMer or home based business owner needs; like a recruiting system that produces free leads or a free report that gives prospects all the tax deductions applicable to home based businesses that they may be missing.

This is the secret of supplying picks and shovels to the gold miners, a tactic that worked very well for Levi Strauss during the Gold Rush in California. His rivet-pocketed jeans became such a hit with the goal miners, they are still an American Icon today.

Once they request and download your freebie, you have captured the contact information of your prospects for further marketing efforts.

In the freebie, you advertise a low cost, under $50, follow up product, such as an ebook that gives even more benefits than the free version, or a related offering.

You are now providing resources to the gold miners, you are not threatening them and you are not trying to force your opportunity down their throats, so their guards are down.

You will have high quality, exclusive names of people who are interested in building a business. You are making money from the sale of the follow on product(s). This money should more than cover the cost of your advertising, ergo, a self funding proposal. Remember, no money is being spent on MLM leads anymore, either.

Next, send them a survey, requesting their opinion of their ideal MLM or home based business. Bribe them with another freebie to get their cooperation. You are building a trusting relationship with your prospects.

Those that purchase your follow up product and fill out the survey will be your best MLM leads.

The next best group of prospects will be those that bought the product, but did not fill out the survey, followed by those who did not buy, but did fill out the survey. Lastly, those who requested the freebie and did nothing else.

I would suggest a personal call to the first group. Tell them you would like to thank them for their cooperation and you want to further discuss their responses to the survey, because you want to refine it. Subtly feel them out about their opportunity. Make notes.

If they express dissatisfaction with their current opportunity, ask them if they would like to make an appointment with you for an interview to see if there might be a fit. If they are not yet ready, ask them if you can keep in touch, because you never know and put them in your autoresponder for automatic follow up.

The others I would send a series of emails to, (by autoresponder)explaining that you have an opportunity that meets the ideal criteria as indicated by the survey responses. Send an email every two weeks until they “Buy or Die,” respond or unsubscribe.

The “shelf life” of the average MLMer is 3-6 months, so the turn over is pretty high. Don’t be surprised if you get unsolicited calls from several of your prospects seeking to join you in whatever you are doing!

This a more professional, consultative approach to recruiting. First off, you are attracting those who are already in network marketing or who are actively thinking of joining one as evidenced by their request. Your odds of success are much greater than running up on someone at the dry cleaners and trying to pitch them. Secondly, you are branding yourself as an expert and a leader. Very Sexy!

You are also giving before you ask, a very smart move. You are not like every other networker who is hounding people who have never even expressed an interest in your business. And best of all, you are making money while prospecting!, even from those who never join your business! You will buy another MLM Lead!
