How Does MLM Stack Up To A Conventional Internet Business?

In this article I would like to look at the difference between mlm and a normal internet business. This is very important when deciding which business model you are going to choose.

Let us look at the fundamental differences between the two and compare:

1) Mlm

You need to recruit people in your network. You then need to be able to train them so that they can duplicate your efforts and recruit other people. This pattern will continue until you have a big downline. However, this is a lot easier said than done. This is why usually only the top five percent of people succeed in network marketing. They fail to train their distributors properly so that they will recruit people successfully.

In order to succeed with network marketing you need to be a very strong leader. This means that you may have to do a lot of personal development to acquire the personal skills that you need.

The 3 elements required are that you need to be able to train your distributors, demonstrate that the process works and recognize your top performing distributors.

2) A Conventional Internet Business

This type of business is simpler to succeed as their are less steps involved and less emotion as you do not have to deal with the emotion of distributors quitting.

You need to choose a highly focused niche market, drive traffic to your website and build a targeted list of opt in subscribers that you can use your autoresponder to convert into paid customers.

So which business model is best? Personally for me I would go for the internet business as I do not have to deal with the emotion when distributors quit. However, some people may differ and I leave it up to you to decide.
