Like many others there used to be a time when I was strongly against all forms of network marketing and MLM. As I started looking into it more for some of my writing clients however I noticed that it wasn’t really the business model that was a problem, in fact it was extremely powerful, but it was the way in which people were using it. In this article I am going to focus on why the network marketing and MLM business models are so powerful when used correctly and how the internet has made them even more powerful.

The basic business model behind network marketing and MLM is that if you sign up people under you in a business you will be rewarded, and you will also be rewarded for people that they sign on and products they buy, and so will build up this downline which all contributes to the amount you get paid.

Why Is It So Powerful?

The power behind this model is that as productive and hard-working as any of us may be we still only have a limited amount of time and resources on our side. By signing up people below us who we are also able to make a profit from we are able to multiply our resources and time through taking advantage of the resources that others have to contribute to the business. This forms a powerful synergistic relationship if used correctly.

Extra Power from the Internet

The internet has taken this power even further as it has made each of us capable of so much more through the power of automation and using the internet to attract more of the right clients. The internet can help with sending out initial emails to interested prospects, taking orders and payments, etc. This cuts down on what is actually required from each downline member and allows them to focus on more effective marketing and making more money.

Network marketing and MLM offer a powerful business model that works on the principle of synergy, allowing each person to benefit from the resources of others. The internet has made this even more powerful by adding the power of automation. When these tools are used successfully it means that you can make a lot of money from network marketing and MLM.
