4 Steps to Growing a Successful MLM Business
Growing a MLM business takes time and energy. Even though you have less start up costs and overhead than traditional business it should be treated with the same care. If you want to be successful you must commit yourself to learning business building skills.
MLM offers you the chance to learn as you earn. When you go to college for a degree you basically commit all your time to learning. You do not earn until you finish school and go get a job or start a business. Though you must learn many new things in your business you can earn commissions as you learn the trade!
It is important to apply what you learn. The truth is most of us are mentally programmed to learn first and then do later. This is not the case in your MLM business. Here are four steps that will help you grow your business today.
Step 1: Attracting prospects.
Prospecting is a critical element in growing your MLM business. If you do not have prospects you do not have a business. Some qualities you want your prospects to have may include self-reliance, self motivation and an optimistic attitude. It is important for you to develop these characteristics first to attract those types of prospects. It is also vital for you to start to learn and develop leadership skills right away. These skills will improve as your team continues to grow.
Step 2: Converting prospect to a distributor.
You must convert prospects to distributors for your business to grow. As you do this it is important to have them plug into a success system. The faster they experience success the more committed they will be to their business.
Step 3: Retention.
The key to remember about retention is that some will stay and some will not. It is just part of the law of averages. When you learn to accept that you must focus your time and energy on those that will stay. These are the people who are actively doing something.
One tip to improve your retention is to let your prospect know what to expect right away. It is important to give your new person the good information along with the bad and ugly. Let them know that some people will reject them and laugh at them. Do this is a story fashion to make it less intimidating to them. It is much easier to deal with something you already know is coming than to be blind-sided by it.
The more user friendly your duplication system is the better. It must be easy for anyone to use and be successful at. People are much more likely to stick to something if they feel it is easy to implement.
Step 4: Developing leaders.
It is important to hand pick those business builders that are the leaders. Teach them how to take their new prospects through the first three steps. This step will drive your business to the duplication. It will create a leverage storm that will make you loads of cash.
