MLM Lead – Why Finding MLM Leads Could Be Easier Then You Think Using Funded Proposals
MLM Lead – Why Finding MLM Leads Could Be Easier Then You Think Using Funded Proposals
Anytime my phone rings at 1:30am I always think the worst. Someone has been in an accident, a family member is sick or something along that line. Well you can imagine how relieved and a bit irritated I became when the voice on the other end said “Adrian, I just can’t find anybody new to share my marketing plan with.” As the grogginess slowly dissipated from my head and I could actually start thinking clearly, I realized that it was my good friend Jeff calling to whine about not having any prospects to share his MLM business with. I thanked him for waking me up in the middle of the night and then proceeded to listen to him ramble on and on about how tough it is to find leads for his business opportunity. Finally, after several minutes or spewing out all the reasons why he couldn’t get new leads, he paused to take a breath and I jumped at the opportunity to speak. “Jeff” I said, “The reason that you and every other traditional network marketer is having problems finding leads is because times have changed and you haven’t.” I paused for what I thought would be another diatribe of negativity but all I heard was silence, so I continued. I went on to explain how the internet has revolutionized the way all businesses must operate including network marketing businesses. Here are a couple of thoughts that I asked Jeff to consider.
The old tried and true methods of inviting your friends, family and relatives to come over to your living room for a business opportunity meeting just isn’t effective anymore. So many people have experienced this ritual over the years that they have become hardened to this technique. Once that method of recruiting became ineffective, people started buying leads off the internet and through magazines ads. This proved to be not only very costly but also very frustrating. Average new recruits were only staying in a program for an average of 3 month and then moving on to the next “deal.” This created a virtual revolving door of prospects that you paid good money to find, coming into your business today and then moving on to another business 90 days later. This forced distributors into recruiting on a daily basis for the entire lifespan of their business or attrition rates would erode their entire group. “Well how do I get out of this never ending cycle of misery?” Jeff suddenly exclaimed. “There has to be a better way.” “Well there certainly is a better way.” I shot back, afraid that he was going to start another 10 minute monologue. “Have you ever heard of Funded Proposals?” “Funded Proposals?” he asked. “What in the heck is a Funded Proposal?” Realizing I was not going to get back to sleep anytime soon I decided to get up and grab a diet Pepsi out of the fridge so my throat wouldn’t give out half way through the conversation and I proceeded into a Readers Digest condensed version of the in’s and out’s of “funded proposals”.
I explained how it is a technique he could use to create income immediately to offset the cost of buying leads. I also explained how the very people that were paying you for this information would then come back and ask YOU what business you were in and how things were going in your business. This created a a door of opportunity the size of the ones the you see in airport hangers that you could drive in airplane into. I explained to a speechless Jeff that this turns MLM recruiting on its head. Instead of him chasing after leads, he will have leads calling him. He will get paid to have leads call him. He can use this money he makes to pay for more leads which in turn will have more people asking him what he does in his business and it goes on and on. Its a endless cycle that would line his pockets with cash! “Where in the world did you come up with this idea?” Jeff stammered. “I know your not that bright” he continued. That takes the cake. He has the audacity to call me up at 1:30 in the morning to tell me that I’m not very bright. Where do I find friends like this? I knew it was time to hang up and get back to sleep so I cut straight to the chase. “I read it in a free e-book that I downloaded. I read the contents and I did what the lady suggested I do and it worked just like she said it would” I replied. “I’m not going to try to explain how to do it, if you are serious about getting new leads for you MLM business the I would suggest you read her e-book and duplicate what she tells you in there” I remarked and then I hung up.
In less time then it took for me to drop that diet Pepsi can in the garbage, the phone started ringing. If he hadn’t had made the comment about me not being bright, I would have answered it the first time he called back. If he wouldn’t have woke me at 1:30 am, I would have answered it the 2nd time. But I felt a little revenge was in order so I carried the handset around the house and upstairs to my bedroom. I finally decided to answer on his 7th attempt to call back in less then 5 minutes. “WHAT” I yelled playfully in the phone. “You didn’t tell me where to get the course” he cried out. “Do I have to do everything for you?” I asked, ribbing him a little more. “If you promise never to call me this early I will tell you where to find the information.” “O.K, O.K, I promise, I promise” Jeff replies. So I gave him the website, wished him well, hung up and turned off the ringer on the phone just in case, and drifted off in to lala land. I talked to Jeff about a week later and he was singing a different tune. He was fired up again and getting a lot more leads.
If you want to know what e-book I recommended to Jeff it’s called “The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing” by Anne Sieg. It totally changed the way I find leads and I get nothing but positive feedback from everyone that I have recommended it to.
Check it out and I hope you benefit as much as we have from the information inside this free e-book. If you are not using funded proposals in your MLM or network marketing business, you truly are wasting a lot of time and money.
