Do safe lists really work, and how effective are they? The question that is always asked by MLM new comers are, “what are safe lists, and what are they used for?” I will attempt to define and answer these questions, based on my experience using safe lists.
Safe lists are tools used by Network Marketers to get the word out, to prospective clients about their Network Marketing opportunity, without the problems associated with spam, or unsolicited bulk email. Just in case you do not know the meaning of spam, here it is. Spam is email send to prospects without their prior arrangements, or permission to receive correspondence from you. If you desire problems in network marketing, just send advertisement to persons who did not ask for it, and you email address, and the company you are promoting will definitely get blacklisted. If you need to find out the meaning of blacklisted, just research it on the Internet.
Safe lists can be use to promote affiliate products to other affiliates, and can be used as a good source to build your down line, or list. A list is a group of opt-in subscribers who have given you permission to send them information on network marketing, or related products and services. Some might say that safe lists are a waste of time, but my experience has shown me, that they can be effective, if you use them the right way. They might just not be as effective as Newsletter or Forum marketing, but they have their place in the network-marketing arena.

When you advertise using safe lists, your advertising will always be accepted, because the users of the list has agreed to receive advertisement from members of the safe list, in exchange for their advertisements being viewed. Do you think that your advertisement will always be read using safe lists? Well, about two percent of the time, or sometime not at all. For your advertisement to be read you have to experiment with different topics, in your subject line. To find out exactly how many times you add is read, you have to setup some kind of tracking for each email advertisement, you send out. There are many paid and free ad-tracking services available on the Internet today. I recommend using the paid services, instead of the free services. When using the free service, the owner of the free services will force you to advertise their product the same time, when tracking and advertising your product, or service. I guess you have to give something back in return for using the free service.

Tracking and experimenting with different topics in the subject line, and of course good content is the key to achieving the best results, using safe lists.
