MLM Considerations
MLM Considerations
You’ve been burned before. You’ve tried MLM (multi level marketing) and found out later that it wasn’t what you were told. You lost not only time, but money and friends along the way.
So why should you consider making another leap of faith? You shouldn’t unless you’re prepared to learn that it is a real business that’s in the business to make it’s managers successful. You shouldn’t join unless you’re prepared to have your own business and be trained on how you can make your business a success. You shouldn’t join unless your ready to study, learn and perform. You shouldn’t join unless you want an opportunity to help others be successful in their business too. You shouldn’t join until you’re ready to start working for yourself and reaping the rewards of your efforts.
Who you get in business with is often more important than what the business is or what product or service is sold. If it is a once in a lifetime opportunity that must be taken right away, my best advice is to walk away. You must take the time to give serious consideration to the opportunity in front of you and seek answers to any and all questions that might arise. Remember the 5 W’s:
WHO contacted you about this opportunity? Do you know this person well? If you have questions or problems is this person someone that will give you the help you need. Who are the people at the top? Who do you want to work with as part of a winning team?
WHAT is the company about? What do you already know about the products? What information is readily available. What would the next step be? What is your financial and emotional exposure?
WHERE would you be doing business? Where would you go for support? Where are the products made? Where would the product you would be selling be stored?
WHEN do you have to sign the bottom line? When do you get paid? When can I get help, support or information?
WHY do you want to get into this? Why would anyone want to get into this? Why would someone take this risk?
HOW is the 6th W. How do you get started is always an easier and shorter question to answer than how do you succeed. Even if you haven’t been successful in the past, perhaps you weren’t in the right place, at the right time, with the right people and the right company. It’s out there waiting for you. Don’t wait for success to come to you. Go out and carefully, deliberately, seriously, cautiously, excitedly, and quickly find it!
