MLM Recruiting Tips – Give Them A Simple Reason

I do network marketing. I don’t know much about cars. All I care about is whether the darned thing starts.

My son lived for cars. A few years ago, I bought a Dodge Durango because it was what Garth wanted. It suited our needs, and it made him happy.

As soon as we had the car, Garth constantly bugged me about getting the first oil change at 3000 miles … which I didn’t do. One day while we were driving he asked, “Dad, how many miles on the Durango?”

I looked at the odometer. “Five thousand nine hundred forty-seven.” I waited for his lecture on needing an oil change.

I wasn’t disappointed. “Dad, did you know that the reason your break-in oil change is so important is that that first crankcase of oil will pick up any loose metal chips that were in the engine after manufacture? And if you don’t do that first oil change on time, you could greatly shorten the life of the car?”

I got the oil change that afternoon.

I expected a harrangue – a sales pitch on why I should get that oil change. Instead, I got a lesson, pure logic. My son drew a bullseye on my wallet and fired. The quick education he gave blasted me into action.

So give your prospect a simple reason:

1. Why your business-building system is better than others.

2. Why your prospect is better off with you as their sponsor.

3. Why your company compensation plan will help them fire their boss sooner.

4. Why your flagship product is an incredible business-builder.

5. Why business-building will be especially easy in your company the next 2 years.

6. Why your team support beats the others.

7. Why, why, why …

Follow my son’s lead. One of the most effective MLM recruiting tips is to tell them all the simple reasons why they should do what you suggest. You have an excellent chance they’ll grab onto a simple, logical reason and join your team.
